About the Institution

Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SSIET) was founded in 2006 by Dr. S. Thangavelu, with the dream to imparting education that is character building and creating better citizen and human being from the assimilation of ideas along with acquiring productive life skills. With the mission to provide an encouraging environment to develop the intellectual capacity, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving ability of the students. The Institute collaborated with worldwide universities and industries. Now the college has 16 Departments with 12 UG courses and 4 PG courses. The institute has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, accredited by NBA and it is an Autonomous Institution Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

About the Department

The Civil Engineering was established as fully fledged department in the year 2011. The graduates will have the mastery of fundamental knowledge, problem solving abilities, engineering experimental abilities and design capabilities necessary for civil engineering career. The department is recognized as research center for offering Ph.Dprogram under Anna University. Right from its inception, the department is aiming at the development of student community to face the future world through research, good leadership qualities, Industry – Institute interaction and spirit of competence. The department is being supported by experienced and skilled faculty members in all areas. It is also well equipped with laboratories and offering various value-added courses. The department has got regular industrial visits and in plant training every year.

About the Conference

International Conference on Material Science and Civil Engineering (ICMSCE) aims at exploring the new horizon on innovation from distinguished researchers, eminent professionals from academia and industry to address new trends and challenges and emerging technologies. This event will be a platform to showcase and deliberate research work, studies and contribution consists of keynotes, lectures given by eminent personalities and stake holders. The ICMSCE event will help participants to sharpen their skills and refine their ideas as well as approaches by meeting with their peers and counterparts. ICMSCE aims gathering of both industrial and academia professional from across the world in the fields of Civil Engineering and Material Science.
